Even in their wildest dreams, most people wouldn’t consider having a cow as a pet—and then there’s Elias Herrera. He’s living his best life with his pet cow, Bruce, and this unlikely duo found viral fame after Herrera started sharing their hilarious videos with millions of people on TikTok and Instagram.
Bruce was just three days old when Herrera welcomed him to his farm, where he lives with his wife and four sons. His decision to bottle-feed Bruce for over two months worked wonders for both of them, and it helped them develop a special bond that will never be broken.
Bruce’s curious and energetic nature inspired Herrera to let Bruce go where no other cow went before him – inside his house. He decided to treat him like a real pet and share their adventures with the world, and he’s using their hilarious videos to make a positive impact and brighten up people’s day.
“I don’t really want it just to get views or just to get publicity or anything, changing people’s attitudes in a positive way is what I’d love to happen and I think there’s so much negativity online and it’s nice to have something different every once in a while,” he told 13 Wham ABC.
Despite having the time of his life living with Bruce, Herrera doesn’t recommend having a pet cow. He warns that most cows aren’t as friendly as Bruce, and keeping them indoors is impossible because they need a lot of room to be happy.
