I do all the repeat patterns digitally in Photoshop or Illustrator.”
“I love creating animal characters,” she adds. “In my body of work, they are mostly coming from a woodland environment—that is because I draw things that are close to me and I can see in person if I am lucky,” she notes.
Based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, her artwork is featured on products like enamel pins, notebooks, coloring books, notepads, and greeting cards, with her clients including brands like Papyrus, Little Blue Nest, Craft Consortium, Lilipinso, and Lake Coloring. Besides commercial work, Stajner enjoys self-initiating projects where she collaborates with other artists, experiments, and challenge herself further.
“The world around me inspires me very much,” says Stajner. “While I work, I love to stylize them, make them more simple and less realistic. But then I want to add so many details that they appear alive again. Like they actually exist somewhere in the world. Oh, what a happy place that would be.”
A happy place it is.

]]>Christophe Guinet, the French artist behind Monsieur plant, has created a stunning new outdoor installation called Tree Hug in Annecy, France to raise awareness for the ways humans are impacting the environment.
The piece, which quite literally connects humans with nature, was designed in collaboration with the residents of the Annecy. Monsieur plant invited locals to have their arms cast and then allowed plant vegetation to grow around the casts. Once the vegetation had fully grown, the hands were wrapped around trees in the forests of Annecy.
On his website, the artist describes the environmental inspiration for the project. “Currently, the ecological awareness is a big debate, the human must change his habits by respecting his environment more. Trees are an invaluable asset that contributes in many ways to balancing the ecosystem in which we live. The work represents the surrealist evolution of the human being into a tree, absorbed by the “nature” which has taken back its rights. Nature and man merge and become one.”
Monsieur plant has a history of working with all parts of the plant world, including building one of a kind sculptures out of grass and bark.

]]>In order to create his artwork, the Moscow based artist uses a canvas of transparent cellophane wrapped around two trees. He then spray paints directly onto the cellophane.
Ches discovered the process, which he calls CelloGraffiti, by researching different canvases. “I like to experiment and try different techniques, materials, and surfaces,” Ches told A Plus.
Ches leaves the background of the clear canvas empty, giving his pieces the illusion that they’re simply existing amongst nature.
“The contrast seems very interesting to me when street art moves to a natural environment,” he explains in a short film about his art. “Millions of artworks are covering buildings, bridges, fences.”
Ches’ favorite subjects to paint in the forest are life-size recreations of wildlife, including grasshoppers, bunny rabbits and ducks. He’s even taken a step back in time and painted a fierce Tyrannosaurus.
If you want to see his work, you have to be quick, Ches photographs the final product and takes the cellophane down after about a day, honoring the natural environment.
