]]> David Morrison spent most of his life working as a professor at the Herron School of Art and Design and helping young artists find the best way to express their creativity. But now retired, Morrison finally has time to focus on his own art and has been getting quite a recognition for it.

Morrison draws life-like illustrations of flowers, branches, fruit, and other things from nature. His hyperrealistic works are so detailed that you could swear you are looking at a photograph and not something done with pencils.

According to Morrison, his preferred subject is plants since due to the astonishing abstract shapes and intriguing patterns that can be found in nature. By drawing them, he manages to better understand the complexity of nature and how magnificent it can be.

“My intention is to show the beauty of a simple flowering branch or a scarified tree trunk for the viewer to reexamine the realities of nature,“ Morrison explained.

Morrison’s works have been shown in art galleries around the United States. They are currently exhibited in New York City’s Garvey Simon, where interested art enthusiasts can both check out his art and buy the pieces they like.

]]> It may not shock you that incredible things can be done with just a pencil and some paper, but the breathtakingly lifelike drawings of Sheila R Giovanni are bound to leave you amazed. 

The Brazilian-based artist spends more than 100 hours on each project, and her attention to detail is strikingly evident. Thanks to carefully placed shading, ultrathin lines and a remarkably steady hand, Sheila’s designs look as if they’re going to jump right off the page. They’re so immaculate, in fact, that her Instagram audience is calling her an ‘art genius’ and ‘insane’ over the amount of dedication she puts into hers penciled portraits. 

What makes her different from the other hyperrealist artists is that she predominantly works with pencil, while others tend to use an airbrush. With her drawings, she tends to create an emotional, social and cultural impact and her style differs from photorealism which is far more technical. She takes everyday objects and scenes, mostly including famous people and then recreates unreal drawings, which also reveal some insights into how she achieves that realistic look. 

“My inspiration comes from the phrase ‘to intensify the normal,” she said.  

These mind-blowingly realistic images are hand drawn illustrations. Seriously.

“I think my realistic art reflects on the sincerest things in the portraits that we usually miss out on,” Buotas shared on Bored Panda. “It takes an aesthetic of sincerity and a lot of diligence to draw these pieces, but in the end, they can reveal the emotions of the subject, the true beauty, and put the reality in the center of attention, which is always an interesting way to interpret art.”

]]> One type of art that always amaze art lovers is hyperrealism art. It is always mind-blowing to see art that almost jumps off the page. Today’s hyperrealist is Alena Litvin, a Russian based artist who draws astonishing surreal portraits.

The talented artist has created several wonderful pieces and she posts her finished work on her Instagram page. She is able to bring out the tiniest details in each portrait. They are almost indistinguishable from real pictures. What makes hyperrealistic pictures better than pictures?

Perhaps, one of the major advantages hyperrealism painting has over photo images is in terms of size to quality.  That is, this painting is usually about 10 to 20 times bigger than photo images; yet, their quality is still intact, unlike many photo images that lose their quality upon enlargement.

]]> Italian artist Marcello Barenghi creates amazing hyperrealistic drawings. Most of his works are 3D pictures that look as if they can jump right off the page. They are also difficult to tell apart from real items.

You need a sharp eye to be able to see that it is, in fact, a picture. The artist has keen attention to details and he captures and recreates every curve, fold, shadow, and reflection of his subjects. His drawings take up to 6 hours in total.

Barenghi draws household items and takes photos of them besides the real subject to show just how realistic his works are. The artist uses his platform to teach his viewers as well. He runs a YouTube channel where he shows just how his work is created. He also has a Patreon account.

Perhaps, one of the major advantages hyperrealism painting has over photo images is in terms of size to quality.  That is, this painting is usually about 10 to 20 times bigger than photo images; yet, their quality is still intact, unlike many photo images that lose their quality upon enlargement.

]]> Italian artist Marcello Barenghi creates amazing hyperrealistic drawings. Most of his works are 3D pictures that look as if they can jump right off the page. They are also difficult to tell apart from real items.

You need a sharp eye to be able to see that it is, in fact, a picture. The artist has keen attention to details and he captures and recreates every curve, fold, shadow, and reflection of his subjects. His drawings take up to 6 hours in total.

Barenghi draws household items and takes photos of them besides the real subject to show just how realistic his works are. The artist uses his platform to teach his viewers as well. He runs a YouTube channel where he shows just how his work is created. He also has a Patreon account.

The self-taught artist resides in Loznica, Western Serbia. He started drawing since he was an adolescent in elementary school. Ilic had no formal training when it comes to drawing. He has perfected his drawings over the years, and the result is mind-blowing.
