In 2018, Christopher and Georgina from Somerset, England, adopted a senior cat named Herbie. Herbie was energetic and full of life despite his age, but just five months after his adoption, he became ill and passed away suddenly. Chris and Georgina were heartbroken. They decides that in honor of Herbie, they would adopt a cat that had a hard time finding a home.

That’s when they met Toby and Quinton. The two cats were rescued from a hoarding situation and were neglected and scared. They were found hiding together and seemed inseparable – so the rescuers looked for a family that would be willing to take them both in. Unfortunately, not many people were interested in Quinton & Toby. Toby had a congenital condition that affected his face, and Quinton had to have all his teeth removed. But Chris and Georgina saw beyond their “defects” and immediately fell in love with the cats.

Today, Toby and Quinton live their best life with their humans. Their disabilities don’t affect them at all, and their parents think they’re the prettiest cats in the world.

Nala spent her first months in a hoarding situation – meaning her owners had too many cats. Pet hoarders aren’t bad or cruel people but are usually folks who don’t know how to care for the animals they love and take on more than they can care for. Eventually, they can’t keep up and at least some of the cats become neglected.

When Nala was six months old, she and her cat siblings were surrendered to a shelter, where they waited for somebody to adopt them. It took a while, but eventually, a special family came in and took her home.

It wasn’t easy at first – Nala had never been in a “normal” home before, and didn’t know how to act. She had to learn how to trust humans and to feel at home with her new family. But little by little she opened up. She turned into a funny, cuddly little kitten, and her parents started sharing photos of her on Instagram. Soon enough, she turned into an IG star, with 4 million followers!

Nala’s parents never expected her account to blow up the way it did, but are now using that for good, by raising awareness to shelters and rescues that are full of cats just like Nala.

Miniature pigs are incredibly popular as pets these days. Domesticated pigs are smart, social animals, that love their packs and enjoy spending time with humans. Some miniature pig breeds are about the size of a medium-sized dog, which makes them perfect as pets in small, crowded city apartments.

 Sadly, there are a lot of scammers in the pig adoption business, and some adopters unknowingly adopt babies of full-sized pigs. And that’s exactly what Ester was. In the next two years, Ester grew and grew, reaching 600 pounds! And that’s where the story gets heartwarming – most adopters, upon realizing their mistake, find a new home for the pigs, or even abandon them!

Steve and Derek had other plans. They weren’t willing to say goodbye to Ester – so they sold their house and bought a farm outside the city so that Ester could stay with them forever! Are they the BEST pig parents ever, or what?

There’s no doubt that the stray cat, which was found in North Carolina, will have no difficulties finding a home after the cat’s pictures went viral. You see the resemblance to Baby Yoda, right? The comparisons don’t stop there; the cat has been compared to Dobby the elf and Gremlin characters.

Jana Aviles posted the photos after the cat was brought into her clinic by a rescue organization. It only took a few days for people to go crazy over the cat. If you’re interested in adopting the precious cat, you’ll have to wait for it to complete medical treatment.

Aviles decided to use the cat’s instant fame to bring attention to the need for animals to be rescued, “There is only ONE Yoda cat, so there is only ONE home out there for her. So many people have offered to travel across the country to adopt this cat, and even people from other countries have reached out to me. There are 70 MILLION stray cats just in the US. 4 MILLION cats are brought into animal control facilities each year, and 1.4 MILLION of those cats are euthanized each year due to lack of homes. Everyone please check your local shelters…”

Their dog went missing in August and they wanted to adopt a kitten. When they were waiting in line at the event, the best thing happened to the family; the father saw a dog that looked identical to the one the family had lost. The dog was being leashed for a walk and when the dad saw him he immediately said, “That’s my Dopey!” As soon as the dog heard his family’s voice he ran over to them. What a reunion!

Dopey was brought into the Jacksonville Human Society on October 1 by strangers who thought he was a stray. This story may seem too good to be true, but it happened again to the organization just a few days later at the Feline Frenzy mass spay and neuter event. A kitten that was microchipped was returned back to her family as well.
