Artist Uses Projector to Showcase Endangered Species

Julien Nonnon is a visual artist and the creator of a project called the Crying Animals. In his newest photography series, Julien tries to bring awareness of the possible disappearance of emblematic animals from the mountains.

“It’s a cry of the heart calling to save and showcase the beauty of the world that surrounds us,” the artist explains. With the ephemeral nature of my frescoes made possible by a powerful projector, I wish to make the public aware of the threats these animals face in their natural environments.”

Julien’s plans to project even more images of distinctive animals in other parts of the world. For example: lions in the Moroccan Atlas, which, unfortunately, disappeared in the 1950s, pumas in California and gorillas in the Great Lakes Region.

The artist also wants to organize meetings so that he could rally the young generation in this fight that will be theirs very soon.
