Fiennes’ version was so hilarious that the hosts couldn’t contain their amusement, especially when Fiennes started to wrap things up by saying, “Be mindful of why they hired you. Here’s a reality check, diva. What’s the name you want me to make it out to?”

]]>Björk’s works are presented in the form of comic book covers and bring together Friday the 13th franchise with Rugrats, Texas Chainsaw Massacre with Charlie Brown, Little Mermaid with Beetlejuice, and much more. While each work oozes horror, violence, and gore, they also contain all sorts of comedic bits and funny references.
For example, one of Björk’s illustrations shows the titular characters from Cartoon Network’s animated hit Ed, Edd n Eddy transformed into Pinhead, the villain from the Hellraiser movies. The “comic book” is fittingly titled PinhEd, PinhEdd n PinhEddy.
Björk has been an avid fan of horror movies since childhood but also enjoyed watching Saturday morning cartoon while growing up in the ’80s and ’90s. He started bringing together these two seemingly conflicting interest in his drawings early on and it eventually became his passion.
Nowadays, Björk has a large social media following thanks to his mashups while also selling T-shirts and various other items with his works through his brand Kick Punch. He also attracted the attention of Netflix, which recruited him for an illustration based on their hit series Stranger Things.

]]>Before becoming a food blogger and recipe developer, Modic worked as an employment defense lawyer, but her career didn’t bring her the fulfillment she was craving. She used food to cope with stress, binging, purging, and restricting food, until she found the strength to come clean about her eating disorder to her husband.
Her relationship with food significantly changed when she started developing her own healthy recipes and sharing them on her Instagram page Kale Junkie almost a decade ago.
“Through extensive therapy, yoga teacher training, and changing the way I ate to include ALL foods through an intuitive eating approach, I learned to love food and I healed. My recovery journey ignited my passion for creating recipes made with real, whole food ingredients,” she writes on her official website.
Modic is now on a mission to make healthy eating more accessible to others and prove there’s more to it than green salads and kale smoothies. She’s hoping her recipes will inspire other people to develop a healthier relationship with food and add more nutritious and delicious dishes to their daily menus.

]]>The post Long-Lost Masterpiece by Joaquín Sorolla Resurfaces After 134 Years appeared first on PlayJunkie.
]]>Sorolla has been an influential painter, renowned for his portraits, landscapes, and paintings showing themes from society and history. Between 1889 and 1890, Sorola visited Paris, France, and the visit inspired him to create “Paris Boulevard.”
The piece shows an outdoor seating area of a busy café and people walking down the street while featuring a self-portrait of Sorolla as a man sitting at a table with a soldier and enjoying a cigar. It was an unusual addition to the artist’s opus, being considered a departure from his signature bright and vivid works.
Sorolla exhibited the finished painting at Spanish National Exhibition in 1890 and sold it to a private collector shortly after. It was the last time painting was seen and art experts ended up concluding that the artwork was lost. However, recent investigation showed that the family which originally bought the painting actually kept it in its possession and they ended up lending it to Royal Collections gallery for the exhibit.
“The panoramic composition of the work—which is very photographic and which doesn’t worry about the figures which are cut off at each end—really grabs your attention and gives it a freshness that’s a taste of what Sorolla would go on to do more emphatically,” curator Blanca Pons-Sorolla, who is also Sorolla’s great-granddaughter, said of the piece. “The drawing is very accurate, the brush strokes restrained, and the details have a real virtuosity that defines the more careful and defined painting of his early works.”

One of the previous winners Peggy became a bonafide superstar after winning this competition and appeared in Deadpool & Wolverine earlier this year. Muppet, the 12-year-old Chinese crested dog from Peterborough, is her latest successor after winning the competition this year, over a decade after his brother Mugly won the ugliest dog competition in 2012.
Muppet’s owner Bev Nicholson described him as a “wonky little rescue dog” with missing teeth whose “beautiful inside and out.” Even before winning this competition, he always enjoyed being the center of attention. People often stop Nicholson when she’s walking Muppet to ask her for a selfie with the pup, who became a true sensation thanks to his quirky hairstyle and a tongue sticking out of his mouth.

She explored different mediums over the years, from illustration and multimedia storytelling to ceramics, before finding an unexpected form of self-expression in cake art. It all started when she made a cake for a friend’s DIY wedding and attracted the attention of the food and art space Lil’ Deb’s Oasis.
Belo’s designs only got wilder as time went by, and she doesn’t shy away from fully embracing chaos with each of her creations. Frosting and filling are oozing or dripping out of her abstract cakes that look straight out of this world, and she uses everything from fresh flowers and herbs to layers upon layers of buttercream to make them truly pop.
