]]>Despite working almost exclusively in Glasgow, Rogue One earned a reputation as one of the world’s most famous street artists and it isn’t hard to see why. His works cover a wide range of subjects, including fantasy scenes and pop culture characters, while exemplifying master artistry in realism and stunning attention to detail.
Additionally, the artist isn’t too picky about his canvas or the scope of his creations. He will do grandiose murals that cover the entire side of the building but will also be happy to take on a project of bringing color to a plain passageway with a smaller piece.
“Glasgow (like any city) needs color, and people are enjoying seeing these large murals start to pop up around the city. I would like to think they are, lol. As one person said to me ‘it brightens the place up and gives you something to smile about on the way to work’,” Rogue One explained in a recent interview.
If you don’t have the opportunity to visit Glasgow and see Rogue One’s works in person, don’t worry. The artist regularly shares his newest murals on social media. Scroll down to check out more of them.

]]>Most of Doras’ murals can be found on the walls of Montreal’s buildings or sometimes on the city’s streets. They brighten up the grey urban surroundings and captivate passersby. If you come across one, you’ll instantly know it is one of his works thanks to its large scale and unique and recognizable style.
His works are colorful and give off a dream-like atmosphere. Doras packs them with ornaments and iconography while using contemporary fantasy as a source of inspiration. They often tell a complex story that leaves it up to the viewer to put the pieces of the puzzle together by unpacking the true meaning of each prominent element.
According to Doras, he uses his illustration background to create the murals, which ” feature objects, scenes and characters that might easily have been ripped from the pages of a book.” You can check out more of his works by scrolling below.

Rox has been active as a street artist since 2008 while also working in other mediums including paintings, digital art, and more. He estimates that he created more than 5,000 works that are scattered all over the world.
“Like many modern artists, I started drawing from sketches at school and the first walls of my city. By honing my drawing skills daily, I was able to achieve rapid growth in graffiti culture. I began to receive orders for wall painting from various institutions and organizations. I learned how to make master classes and teach people. After that, I opened a painting studio and recruited a team with which I implement the most daring projects,” Rox shares about his creative journey.

]]>Street artist Greg Goya is doing his part with clever urban interventions that revolve around love, fun, and kindness. For example, in one of his videos, Goya decided to set up a metal box with a glass panel that featured an inscription: “In case of love at first sight, break glass.” He also added a miniature hammer for easier breaking.
Social media users seem to be enjoying Goya’s urban interventions quite a lot, considering that the video above received more than 58 million views.
“Now this is the only modern art I approve,” one Tiktok user wrote in the comments section.
Another TikTok video posted on Goya’s profile shows the street artist making all sorts of installations on the pavement. He painted a designated spot for kissing, turned the crosswalk into a “floor is lava” game, and added Hopscotch to the metro station.

]]>Italian street artist ONIRO made the connection between nature and humans the centerpiece of his mesmerizing murals. In his works, plants, branches, or large land masses come together to form human forms and organs.
For example, one of ONIRO’s murals shows a tree taking the shape of a human heart. Another mural, titled Coltivazione del Sé (Cultivation of Self), shows outstretched hands holding a pot from which a plant grows and takes the shape of a human.
“Who we are? Who are we deep down? In the invisible textures of our essence, there is a pressing need to manifest our Uniqueness. I dream of a reality in which everyone can feel FREE TO BECOME THEMSELVES by finding their own role in the world, cultivating their own aptitudes and diversity, which are essential to the richness of the social ecosystem,” ONIRO shared captioning the photo of “Coltivazione del Sé” on his Instagram page.

]]>The first mural featured a stencil of a wild goat maintaining its balance on a narrow column of a building while rocks crumble below its feet. The artwork is located in the Kew district in West London.
The second mural is located in Chelsea and sees silhouettes of two elephants extending trunks towards each other from bricked-up windows as a form of greet.
Finally, the third artwork features stencils of three swinging monkeys. The mural was placed on a train bridge in the famous Brick Lane street in East London.
The artworks prompted a series of theories from internet users about the meaning of the artworks. However, this will likely remain a mystery as Banksy didn’t caption any of the posts and rarely shares details about his inspiration or intention behind his works.
The new murals are the first from Banksy since March when he created a green splatter on a wall behind a cut-down tree. At the time, many took the artwork as a commentary on humans’ relationship with nature.

]]>Back in 2023, the group acquired an original print of Girl with Balloon artwork created by famous street artist Banksy for $97,000. They then went on to lock the proof of authenticity and removed the number of the print before meticulously working on replicating the piece until even an art expert couldn’t tell the difference.
They made 299 prints of the fake Girl with Balloon and will sell them for $500 each alongside the original. This means that one of 300 buyers will get the original but will have no way of knowing it.
“By replicating the print and concealing the provenance, all 300 prints are rendered equal. Any of the 300 people could have the original, but there is no way to tell. Which begs the question, are they ALL by Banksy or is NONE by Banksy?” it says on The Missing Balloon’s official website.
Those interested in taking part in the stunt can sign up on the official website. The group will select 300 buyers at random from the email list in the summer of 2024.

]]>The beauty of Banksy’s new mural, which popped up over the weekend, is in the way it interacts with its surroundings. It was painted on a building wall behind a pruned tree, with the splashes of green paint essentially replacing the cut foliage.
The confirmation that the mural was indeed created by Banksy came from the artist himself. He shared a post on Instagram that shows photos of the wall before it was painted and photos of the finished artwork.
BBC reached out to the building owner Alex Georgiou, who said that the building is currently vacant and available for rent. He intends to keep the mural, Banksy’s first confirmed new piece in 2024, on the wall for people to enjoy.
“The question is, what do I do with it now? What am I meant to do with it now? I definitely plan on keeping it on there and letting people enjoy it, everyone’s loving it which is great, I just can’t really believe it, still, to be honest,” Georgiou told BBC.

]]>Inspired by famous British graffiti artist Banksy, Frankey started using the streets of Amsterdam as a playground for his creative practice. With simple interventions, he transforms traffic signs, fences, and other urban objects into amusing street art.
“I just want to make people smile with my work, that’s the greater good. A 6-year-old and a 90-year-old can smile at the same thing; it’s amazing that you brighten someone’s day with just one object,” he shared in a recent interview with The New York Times.
Frankey started this fun project in 2020 when he noticed a studded block on the street that reminded him of a LEGO brick. He decided to create a giant LEGO figurine of André Hazes, a popular Dutch singer and placed it on the block.
Since then, Frankey has been entertaining locals and tourists with new installations on a weekly basis. He presents his newest pieces through newspaper Het Parool while also sharing them on Instagram. However, he never reveals the exact location, wanting people to discover them on their own.
So, if you are visiting Amsterdam one of these days, pay extra attention to your surroundings, and maybe you’ll see one of Frankey’s installations in person. In the meantime, check out some of his previous works below.
