German artist Jürgen Lingl-Rebetez can do great things with a chainsaw, but they don’t include chopping down trees. Instead, he uses this tool to create art.
Lingl-Rebetez discovered the artistic use for a chainsaw since a young age and is now creating impressive and highly detailed wooden sculptures of animals. While it may be an unusual tool, according to this France-based sculptor, the chainsaw is more effective than traditional sculptor knife, and he uses it from the beginning to the end of the sculpture making process.
Lingl-Rebetez sculptures are highly appreciated in the art world and are a valuable part of both private and public art collections all around the world.
