We’ve seen several celebrity wax figures go viral in recent years, and Mariah Carey’s latest is taking the internet by storm—for all the right reasons. Madame Tussauds New York unveiled a holiday-themed figure in honor of the “Queen of Christmas” and you’ll have to do a double take to figure out which Mariah is real.
Madame Tussauds is one of the world’s leading wax museums, but many of their figures in the past have gone viral for the wrong reasons. We’ve seen several wax figures spark controversy for looking nothing alike their real-life contra parts, but Carey’s recent Christmas-inspired figure is an exception to this rule.
The “Queen of Christmas” welcomed the holiday season by posing alongside her new wax figure at Madame Tussauds, which looks so life-like that most of her fans couldn’t tell the difference.
One Mariah is wearing a sparkly red dress and matching jewelry and heels while holding a Christmas ornament in her hand. The other strikes the same pose while wearing a long black gown decorated with sparkly details throughout.
Carey’s new wax figure is a part of Madame Tussauds’ seasonal holiday display at the museum’s Seasons of New York City exhibit, and we’ll leave it to you to decide which one is real.
