“Frozen 2” Cast Performs in Front of Live Traffic

With all the hype surrounding Frozen 2, James Corden decided to bring the cast on his show The Late Show with James Corden to do a rendition of Crosswalk the Musical: Frozen with the original cast of Frozen. They performed songs from the film on the intersection of Beverly Blvd. and Genesse Av. in Los Angelos. Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa), Josh Gad (Olaf), and Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) were all in attendance.

Watching them perform in live traffic, we really get to see how talented they are. They start singing when the light turns red and then they frantically run off the street to avoid getting run over by angry drivers. The driver’s close up reactions in the videos are priceless, some of them seem extremely bothered to have their day interrupted by a live-musical and others seem to be having the time of their life. There is even choreography, the actors are dressed as their Disney characters, and there are props, which the cast drags off stage after every performance.

In the first song, we see the cast reprising their roles, which were handpicked by Corden, but Corden decided to play Elsa and he gave Idina the role of Sven the reindeer.

Menzel made this comment about Corden’s role as Elsa, “Before I sing Elsa’s song’s I have to warm up for at least an hour and I drink tea and I have to get my sleep and I got the humidifier in my room and that’s on top of the year’s of training I’ve done leading up to this. but you know James just bought a blond wig, so it’s basically the same.” Of course, Menzel wins the part of Elsa back in a sing-off with Corden and she plays Elsa for the rest of the performances.
