Illustrator Draws the ABC to Educate Kids about Rap

Do you want your kids to develop a taste for great music early on? Then Rap ABC, the latest project from freelance illustrator Andrew Morgan, is just the thing you need.

Rap ABC is a board book that helps kids memorize the letters of the alphabet and learn about rap legends at the same time. Each letter is represented in its conventional way, but also stylized to represent a rapper whose name starts with that particular letter.

Morgan, who is a longtime rap fan, is not only using this book to help kids learn about rap music but also to help collect money for youth music programs.

“Having grown up in NJ and Memphis in the ’80s and ’90s, I’ve always been an avid lover of rap so this project is especially important to me.” – he says on his official website. “And having seen what music can do for the kids I grew up with, I’m going to donate a portion of the profits from this book to youth music programs.”

While Rap ABC is best experienced hard covered, Morgan also shared the illustrations from the book on his Instagram profile. Check out below our favorite ones.
