Italian Artist Creates Amazing Pop-Culture-Inspired Fruit Carvings

Valeriano Fatica is an Italian artist who found a really interesting way to express himself. He carves fruit like avocado and watermelons and turns them into highly detailed pop-culture-inspired sculptures.

Fatica made his first steps as a carving artist in 2011, when he started working at his family’s restaurant. He began with carving watermelons for the bouffets, and quickly realized that he really has a talent for this.

After perfecting his carving skills for a year and a half, Fatica started sharing his work with internet users and quickly gained large following on Instagram. Check out some of his works below.
