Keanu Reeves Bonds With Fellow Bus Passengers

Twenty five years after the release of the action-packed movie Speed, Keanu Reeves was back on a bus but this time not to save the people.

Recently, the 54-year-old actor was on a flight from San Francisco to Los Angeles when the plane made an emergency landing in Bakersfield, California. That’s almost a two-hour drive from the Burbank Airport.

According to Freddy Lemmo, a representative for SkyWest, the flight diverted due to a “mechanical indication” and landed “safely without incident.”

Many passengers took to social media to document their friendly encounter with the actor. According to their posts and online footage, Reeves was calmly talking to an airline representative and leading a discussion with a group of passengers, trying to figure out the easiest way to get to Burbank.

“The people who can unload the bags won’t be here for three hours. The vans will be here in an hour,” he said and continued to explain that it would be much easier to leave and worry about their luggage later. At that point, they opted to take a bus ride to L.A.

During the road trip, the actor kept the group entertained by reading out facts about Bakersfield. When the trip finally ended, Reeves graciously said goodbye to fellow stranded travelers and was seen heading into a Carl’s Jr., presumably in Los Angeles.
