Meet Pip The Gentleman – the Cool Teacher Who Started Modelling At 50

Pip The Gentleman works as a teacher at the Prince’s Trust Program in Huddersfield. He never planned to become a model but when he was approached by fashion students from Huddersfield University, he agreed to model for their magazine which aimed to feature middle-aged men who are into fashion.

His images were discovered by PurplePort, a free online portfolio hosting and social network for models, and the agency offered him a contract.

“I have always been relaxed about it and as it’s not my main income I do not worry about getting work. I see it as an opportunity to have fun, be creative and earn some spending money,” he told Purpleport.

“As I am relaxed about modeling, I haven’t faced any barriers regarding my age. Photographers who hire me do so for my specific look and age has given me character which helps with portraits.”

To date, Pip The Gentleman has over 4k followers on Instagram and consistently growing. Check out his latest photos below.
