Raincoats are usually not the first piece of clothing that comes to mind when someone mentions the word “stylish”, and many people feel silly wearing them. Rain Sisters decided to change that and launched a brand of raincoats that offer a perfect mix of style, warmth, and comfort.
Rain Sisters is the brainchild of three sisters from Riga, Latvia – Zanda, Zaiga, and Zane. They decided to mix their experience in architectural design, and textile technologies, along with their shared passion for sewing and upcycling thrifted clothes, when they started thinking about launching their own fashion brand.
Since they spent a lot of time trying to deal with rainy weather, the sisters came up with a solution that didn’t involve thin raincoats and umbrellas that couldn’t handle heavy rain or wind.
“When living in cities where the weather is frequently changing and often rainy, having a well-made waterproof coat to wear every day is by far the best option. The only problem is finding a coat like this, that also looks elegant, classy, and feel comfortable even when it is not raining,” they explained on their official website.
Rain Sisters was born and their raincoats became a huge hit thanks to their vintage-inspired shapes, unique prints, and bold colors. In addition to shielding you from the wind, their coats are meant to empower women through fashion and make them feel beautiful and confident—no matter the weather.
