Self-Taught Artist Creates One-of-a-Kind Hand Embroidered Art and Objects

Although her family had a long history of being versed in hand embroidery, Colorado-based artist Brannon Addison wasn’t keen on doing needlework in her youth. That all changed in 2014 when she suffered an ankle injury and needed to find something to help her pass the time. Addison figured she could try to continue the family tradition and ordered a supply kit, beginning to learn various stitches.

It turned out to be a good decision since four years later she is dedicated to hand embroidery full time and even has her own company titled Happy Cactus Designs. Brannon now creates one-of-a-kind embroidered art and objects that she often showcases on Instagram.  Her works take many hours to complete since she makes sure that no two pieces are alike.
