]]>Laleh Mohemdi is mother to Jacob and Charlie, and like mothers of many young children, she, too, was struggling to make her children’s meals fuller and more diverse. Children aren’t the biggest fans of change in their diet, and usually prefer to stick to what familiar (and not necessarily healthy), so getting them to eat more vegetables proved quite the challenge. One day she came up with a brilliant solution â why not turn her kids’ meals into their favorite cartoons?
After all, not kid could say no to a dinner shape like their favorite superhero â even if it was made all of cucumbers and broccoli. So Laleh went for it and design her first dinner-cartoon for her kids.
It turned out to be an absolute sensation. The kids loved it! She was so proud she just had to snap a photo and upload it to the web. And as it turned out, her kids weren’t the only ones who loved Laleh’s work. Her design went viral almost overnight, and she decided to go ahead and document her cartoon-dinners on social media.
Today, with over 200k followers on Instagram, Laleh’s food art isn’t just a fun hobby. She’s turned it into a career and has been creating dinner-drawings for brands and celebrities as well as for her kids.
It’s pretty easy to see why she’s so successful. Her fresh take on dinners will make any kid happy to finish all their vegetables.

]]>Keith Anderson is a loving dad from Ontario with a passion for tattoos. His son, Kai, loves drawing, and Keith, who’s been watching him grow and change so quickly over the years, has decided to combine the two most important things in his life â his son and tattoos â into something unique. Every year, Keith picks on of Kai’s drawing, sets up an appointment in his local tattoo parlor, and tattoos that painting on his arm.
Keith started tattooing his son’s art on his body when Kai was 5. It was a way to keep his son close, and to celebrate his childhood forever. Keith has been tattooing Kai’s drawings ever since and will continue to do so until Kai doesn’t want to do it anymore. But for now, Kai seems to be completely on board â he even accompanied Keith to his last session and helped the tattoo artist. We hope he stays on board for a long time â and that Keith keeps celebrating his love for his son for many more years.

]]>But that doesn’t mean the art they produce is great. Usually, it’s adorable, but not all too realistic. They get better with age, but it’s hard to imagine a 6-year-old kid’s first drawing hanging in a museum. They usually end up hanging on the fridge at home for a while, before being set aside for the next drawing.
One dad decided to go the extra mile with his kid’s drawing. Dom’s father, a photoshop wiz, turns Dom’s drawing into realistic looking, 3D art, and shares it on Instagram, in his account, Thing I Have Drawn.
Dom’s dad doesn’t alter a thing in the original drawing. If the doodle is slanted, disproportionate, missing a crucial member like a nose or and eye â the digital recreation will be slanted, disproportionate un incomplete.
The end result is as creepy as it is adorable. The 3D images look like monsters or aliens, but they also provide a rare glimpse into children’s imaginative perspective. And above all, it’s adorable evidence of one dad’s devotion to his kid.

]]>Ashley’s journey started in college â or, anyway, at the end of her college days. She was starting her junior year in art school when she decided it just wasn’t for her. She wasn’t sure a career as a graphic design was for here, and spending any more time working towards a degree she wasn’t sure she even wanted, made her feel lost. So against her parents’ wishes, she took a break she never came back from.
At first, she was lost. She tried to make a living as a freelance graphic designer but realized it really wasn’t for her. She moved around, leaving Virginia for Texas, and worked all sorts of odd jobs she didn’t really like. Eventually, she decided she needed to finally do something, and started Sugar and Cloth, a DIY and crafting blog.
Finally, she found her muse. The blog was just what she needed to get her creative juices flowing, and she just worked on project after project. Other DIY lovers slowly discovered her, until she was finally able to turn her blog into a full-time job.
Today, she shares her art projects as well as glimpses from her family life with her 270 thousand followers. She gets to meet and work with amazing creative minds and enjoys every moment of her life. It’s pretty safe to say that leaving college wasn’t such a bad idea after all!
