These Women Travelled the World Looking for Filming Locations

Fangirl Quest is a travel blog about filming locations of famous movies and TV shows. They started a photo series called “Sceneframing,” which combines scenes with the settings they were originally filmed in.

They visited different locations around the world to capture the original background on the actual filming location and aligned it to a screenshot from that film. Apart from hundreds of “sceneframes,” they’ve covered dozens of Game Of Thrones’s set in Northern Ireland and Iceland.

They’ve been doing the “sceneframing” since 2013 and today, they’ve expanded into travel stories about nature, city stays, and other exciting places.

Game of Thrones / Dark Hedges, Northern Ireland⠀ ⠀⠀ These magnificent old trees have stood here for two centuries. Thanks to Game of Thrones and the power of social media, they've become a super popular tourist attraction. These days, it's hard to get a shot of the lovely tunnel of trees without having at least a dozen tourists or a couple of tour buses in the frame… but we managed. Merlin / Puzzlewood, UK⠀ ⠀ We recently read an article about some of the BBC Merlin cast members still getting together every now and then. Aww!
