This Architect Uses Coffee to Draw Her K-Pop Idols

Spanish architect and art enthusiast Nuria Salcedo describes art as a “medicine for the soul”. Also known as nuriamarq on social media, the Valencia-based artist loves drawing portraits with coffee!

“Discovering my limits as an artist led me to find in coffee the perfect technique to express myself and in drawing portraits, the most appropriate way to awaken ‘something’ in the viewer,” she shared with Bored Panda.

This time, she recreated her favorite K-pop idols; GOT7 and BTS. She made a total of 14 illustrations, all done with coffee and brown pencil on Canson paper.

“I am back at my coffee series and this time around I wanted to recreate my favorite moments on stage from my favorite groups at the moment: GOT7 and BTS”, she added. “Everyone keeps asking me why I keep drawing K-pop idols and the answer is easy. I saw in their passion for music my passion for drawing and that’s what I am trying to show in these drawings.”
