Wicker Darling is the brainchild of the Melbourne-based designer Jasmine Norrie, who decided to start her own brand after she struggled to find a wicker handbag she liked. She now runs the operations from Australia, while the bags themselves are made by two family businesses in the Philippines, helping mostly female weavers supplement their family income while working from home.
Norrie wants her bags to bring an unexpected spark of joy to everyone who wears them, and judging by her Instagram page – she’s definitely succeeding.
