Sally West’s art will warm your heart as much as an actual day on the beach! This talented Australian painter can paint landscapes that tell stories and our favorites are the beach-themed ones. She prefers going out to paint what she sees in front of her, but her style is not too realistic. Though you can clearly see what she wanted to present, the details are mostly made of simple brushstrokes. Carefully chosen color palettes give her paintings life and make them vibrant.
“I have always loved the beach. It’s where I feel happy and I don’t think I will ever move away from it,” West told The Chromologist. “When life gets hard I go to the beach… and everything seems beautiful again.”
