Adorable Botanical Patterns by Carole Fenwick

Carole Fenwick is a print and pattern designer behind the brand MaggieMagoo Designs. We fell in love with her botanical style and wanted to introduce you to her work.

Fenwick first started making prints and patterns when she got a job at a company that sold t-shirts to music shops. She then decided she wanted to study Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design at Leeds College of Art and never looked back.

“I’m very inspired by the natural world, with flowers, plants & insects featuring throughout my work. I love mid-century design and have collections of vintage textiles, ceramics, kitchenalia, glass, books etc! Oh and I have an enormous amount of plants,” she said in an interview for Craftiosity.

I've got a question for you today. Would anyone be interested in a print on demand service for my patterns? This would be for printing on to fabric & ordering by the metre via my etsy shop. I feel like I've gone round in circles with this for so long! Day 17 #marchmeetthemaker is all about what I'm currently working on. I've got a few interesting things on the go & in the pipeline. I'm painting a new little library & have been commissioned to paint a third as soon as I've finished this one! I've got a design to do for a special project with the lovely people at @northerncraft. I'm taking part in a couple of pop up shops in new areas in the UK which is pretty exciting & I've designed 2 new charity pins which I will have to show you very soon. Day 24 #meetthemaker is all about customers. What can I say? Without my customers my business wouldn't exist! I feel very fortunate & grateful that people like what I do enough to buy my work. * I've just sold all my beetle hoops to a gorgeous shop in New York @teatchotchkes. I was going to do loads of things today, paint eggs, do some design work on my mac, do some admin. To start with we had friends staying last night & Jon cooked the eggs for breakfast! Then my mac is very unhappy again, thought I'd fixed it, but apparently not, so spent a while fighting with it, then closed the lid. Instead Maggie & I lay in the garden in the sun & I did this summery doodle.
