Armenian Artist Turns Food into Fashion

Food and fashion isn’t the most natural combination we can imagine, but this mix works great in the works of Edgar Artis. This Armenian artist creates cool artworks by turning food like apples, cereals, and chocolate into fashion designs.

Artis, who regularly shares his artwork on Instagram, begins his creative process by drawing fashion models on a piece of paper. Then, instead of dressing them with color pens, he gives them clothes made of snacks, treats, and other edible items.

Wrinkles of life Illustration made with raisins. All we do at the young age is what we will have when we are old, our experience is our future memory. Try to do crazy things! Have adventurous life! Fall in love! Go crazy! Be happy! Laugh as hard as you can! Life is very short! All those raisins inspired and scared me at the same time, cause they reminded me of wrinkles… each of them represent one experience = one memory. They will turn into wrinkled happy memories that will put smile on our faces when we are old. I am very scared of getting old, i feel like I don’t have enough time to fulfill my huge dreams. Maybe i made this illustration because i wanted to show myself that it’s not scary, that it will be ok… I wish you all a happy life! Laughter! An d love!

The Sushi Lady Photo by @t_epic_world So many people asked me to post this and tell the story behind it. Ok i will tell you the true story. This was a project made for a restaurant to be as a menu cover. We worked so many hours on it trying to capture the perfect photo and trying to make it great but the director rejected this illustration, he didn’t like it and I considered this as a failure. But i decided to post it because you know it happens especially in fashion and show business, you get rejected a lot but it doesn’t mean you are a failure and it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t continue. When you fail you should continue even harder i guess that’s a key to a success. You should never feel bad about yourself if you fail that’s your experience that will make you even greater….
