Her name might be difficult to pronounce, but Hungarian artist Erzsébet Szilajka’s charming pebble stone art speaks for itself.
Pebbles are something extremely ordinary for an average person, but for Erzsébet they represent a see of possibilities for creating art. She uses them to make charming scenes that look surprisingly full of life, given the material she uses.
“I’ve long been attracted to the interesting world of stones and collected them since I was little,” she says. “Their variety, colors, and shapes always sparked my imagination.”
“As I work, spontaneous, unplanned details become a part of the picture, so I always leave room for my imagination, emotions, and thoughts to affect the message,” she adds. Check out her work below.
