Artist Carves Sculptures From Wood He Finds On the Beach

Jeffro Uitto is an artist who creates beautiful sculptures from wood which he founds on the beaches of Washington State, USA. Better known as Knock on Wood on social media, the artist says that he always loved collecting wood, he has been doing it since his teenage years, especially driftwood that had patterns beaten into them by the waves.

“It’s really nature-inspired, the love and curiosity for the subjects and the infinity of materials,” Uitto shared to Bored Panda. “It’s really humbling to see how many people connect with the work. It’s also important to bring attention to these animals, their mysterious beauty and the extinction they face.”

Horses, eagles, rhinos, lions and other animals are all carved by the tools that are handmade by the artist himself.

Uitto shares his remarkable work on his Instagram account where he has gathered over 38.7 thousand followers and has hundreds of likes on each post.
