Artist Creates Bizarre Tablewear That Will Make You Lose Your Appetite

Ronit Baranga is a 46-year-old Israeli artist who creates strange sculptures and tableware from porcelain and clay. In her collection titled Body Of Work, she combines traditional-looking cups, teapots, and saucers with human body parts like fingers, open mouths, and protruding tongues.

“I would like that anyone who sees my work feels something – what they feel is not relevant to me, as long as they feel,” the artist shared with Bored Panda. “I hope that the emerging feelings will cause the viewers to think about the ideas behind my work… The combination of ceramic cups with ceramic fingers represent an idea in which the still creates a will of its own, enabling a cup to decide whether to stay or leave the situation it is in.”

Baranga’s art is exhibited in museums and galleries around the world, and you can find her art on social media.
