Vancouver based artist Tim Klein wasn’t challenged enough by putting a single Jigsaw puzzle together, so he decided to make things more interesting by combining several of them into a single image.
Klein engages in what he calls an “art of puzzle montage,” taking pieces from various puzzles and creates a new artwork with those that fit together.
“Jigsaw puzzle companies tend to use the same cut patterns for multiple puzzles.” – explained the artist. “This makes the pieces interchangeable. As a result, I sometimes find that I can combine portions from two or more puzzles to make a surreal picture that the publisher never imagined.”
Tim Klein gladly shares his works on the internet and also occasionally sells his unique art to art-collectors.
