Artist Creates Numbers Inspired By Insects

Alex Palazzi has many descriptions to his name, he is a graphic designer, motion artist, and art toy maker based in Barcelona who joined the 2019’s 36 Days of Type challenge to create his own numbers. He sought inspiration for his project from an unlikely source: insects.

Insects vs. Numbers is Palazzi’s masterpiece which is a fusion of numbers and insects. For example, number 6 is a honeycomb swarmed by bees, 2 is a Calla lily surrounded by ladybugs, while a ghostly number 3 is shaped by spiderwebs.

Palazzi’s work has been published in printed media, all around the world, from China to Paris, Frankfurt and the UK, and has been featured online on Fubiz, Vice, Fotolia, AdobeBlog, etc. He has also been working with big companies and brand names such as Adobe, Paypal, Refinery29, Bloomberg, Pepsico, Jack Daniel’s, Nespresso, and many more.
