Artist Merges Animals and Nature to Create Beautiful Art

Alfred Basha is a 29-year-old, Albanian illustrator currently working and living in Italy. He is best known for his images of beasts merged with parts of human anatomy. In his work, the self-taught artist uses only a black pen and seeks inspiration from Mother Nature.

“Nature has a main role in my projects, especially animals because I like to represent their feelings,” the artist told My Modern Met. “As you can see in my illustrations, I prefer wild animals because they are out of human control….I like to represent them in their habitat to give strength to their primordial expressivity.”

His beautiful work has been featured in publications and media worldwide, such as Picame, Fubiz, Design Your Trust, Cultura Inquieta, Langweiledich, and so on. Basha has also participated in solo and group exhibitions in Italy and Switzerland.
