Artist Who Lost His Arms Creates Sketches Despite Physical Challenge

Dhaval Khatri, a special artist from Ahmedabad, lost his arms at the age of 14 while playing with a kite. He was electrocuted by an electric wire and fell from the terrace. Everyone thought he had died, but he didn’t. He was revived, but his hands did not survive the ordeal. They had to amputated.

Khatri could not go to school because he was rejected by his school, but this didn’t stop him. During his stay in the hospital, he learned to hold a pencil, and before long, he was sketching. Soon after, he mastered the art of painting. His story is an inspirational one of a self-taught artist who didn’t give up but made a name for himself.
