Australia-based Alicia Brown introduces herself as a “Melbourne Mama, Chief, and cardboard maker at Zygote Brown Designs.” She started making costumes when she realized kid’s toys were too expensive.
“I love cardboard, it’s completely underestimated,” the artist shared on Bored Panda. “Most people throw away their cupboard boxes. But when I get a brand new crisp cardboard box in the house, I get really excited about the possibilities. It’s nothing new, kids have been playing with cardboard boxes for years. A cardboard box can be anything we want it to be, with just a little imagination.”
Her goal is to make magical memories for her kids and to unleash their imaginations. She shares her creations by posting images on Instagram and her personal website, while on her YouTube channel she shows people how to put the costumes together.
