There is no doubt that the hottest trend on the internet is #10YearChallenge. If you somehow didn’t hear of it, the point of the challenge is to post one photo from 10 years ago and one photo from the present and give other people a loose idea about how you’ve changed in that period. #10YearChallenge now became so popular that even celebrities and movie studios are doing it.
Marvel Studios decided to respond to this challenge with the help of the original Avengers. The studio posted side-by-side photos of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), and showed how each of the characters changed over the years. Some of the transformations are surprising while others are just fascinating.
While getting into the #10YearChallenge craze was a great marketing trick by Marvel Studios’ social media team, it was also a fitting move. Marvel Cinematic Universe launched 10 years ago as a way to bring comics closer to a wider audience and ended up as the one of the most profitable and acclaimed film series of all time. The best thing of all? It seems like these first 10 years are just a beginning.
