Italian cuisine is one of the most recognizable in the world. Just thinking about pasta or pizza makes us hungry while seeing the photos of Italian food induces some serious cravings. As it turns out, illustrations of Italian gastronomy have the same effect.
Florence-based artist MariaTeresa Ingegnatti recently presented a series of cool illustrations that depict various famous Italian meals like pasta e fagioli, ham and cheese penne, and cannelloni with ragù. Ingegnatti did some of the illustrations as part of a job for a client who was creating an Italian cookbook, while she did others in her free time after an overwhelmingly positive reaction from her social media followers.
While Ingegnatti’s work is not hyper-realistic as you would expect from this project, they have an old-school look that ends up being even more efficient.
