Some people believe that dogs can look like their owners. Is it possible? Psychologists believe that it is true. However, it could be caused by the “exposure effect.” this implies that people choose to get dogs with similar features to themselves. The result is a pet with a striking resemblance to yourself.
A popular animal photographer, Gerrard Gethings, tried to show how true this statement is by taking pictures of people and their dogs. He was commissioned by Laurence King Publishing. He took photos of 25 pairs of dogs and identical looking humans in a game he tagged “Do You Look Like Your Dog?”
The photos do justice to the question. The pet owners and their dogs look alike so much that you may have to look twice.
