Ecuadorian Graphic Designer Combines Everyday Objects and Drawings into Fun Art

Javier Pérez is a graphic designer and audiovisual producer from Ecuador who has a different view on the everyday items that surrounds us than most other people. For Pérez, these objects are ideal pieces that can be combined into quirky drawings and fun stop-motion videos.

In Perez’s works, FLEX tape acts as a chameleon’s head, an open book can be played like a piano while a spin flies like a bee.

“My main inspiration comes from daily objects, the most common appear as the most attractive to me,” Perez explained his creative process to Huffington Post. “Usually ideas come to me when I am on the bus, walking or running. I archive my ideas in sketches, and then I work on them little by little. A lot of the photos I publish are old ideas that I had archived.”
