This Girl Travels Across the US on Roller Skates

Traveling is a good way to relax but it’s not an easy task considering the things you have to prepare before going on a trip. This girl proves that if you have a strong will, traveling can be a piece of cake – even when you do it on roller skates.

The 23-year-old Hong Kong native Yanise Ho decided to take a trip from Miami to Portland just by taking a pair of Rollerblades and a backpack. She didn’t bring any money and just asked help from strangers to provide her food and shelter.

During her nearly 4000 miles trip, the young girl faces several challenges including extreme heat and heavy rains, but these trials didn’t slow her down and after seven months, she successfully finished the expedition.

Ho documented her incredible journey using a selfie stick and shared the photos on Instagram.

@parachutehome gave me a welcoming home adorned with stacks of donuts, rollerblade bubbles, bouquets of flowers, to unstrap my rollerblades and celebrate the glorious moment of arrival. I can’t thank the manager, Stephanie, enough for organizing the get-together party and spending so much time decorating the backyard; and the Law’s family for flying all the way from Santa Monica to meet me for the first time. They made the little celebratory party possible. My friend from Miami also surprised me with flowers that totally matched my outfit! . . . #flowers #portland #parachutehome #furniturestore #luxurious #party #celebration #pdx #solofemaletraveler #onegirlcanskateamerica #gratitude #enduranceathlete #rollerblade #inlineskate #skatergirl
