Cartoonist and graphic novel author known as Mardou decided to share her experience with therapy in order to encourage anyone who might need to give it a try.
At first, she wasn’t quite comfortable with the idea of going to therapy, but the process made her learn a lot about herself and today she’s grateful for it. Just like many other people, she dreaded the thought of sharing personal stories with a stranger, but as time went by, that stranger became someone with whom she could talk about everything.
“I had to get comfortable with talking about uncomfortable things – my upbringing, growing up as a Jehovah’s Witness teen, my parents’ divorce, parenting my child, and the things that trigger me are just a few topics I’ve looked at,” Mardou told Bored Panda.
