Alex Yanes is a Cuban-American artist who draws inspiration for his works from the city he was born in; Miami. As this amazing city evolved through the years, Yanes was watching and soaking in all the different influences and cultures that Miami embraced over the years and combined it with his passion for street art. This is how his acclaimed series of sculptural paintings “Made in Miami,” was born.
“Miami is just like a melting-pot of so many different cultures: Latin, Jamaican, Haitian, there is some of all of that here — that’s what I love so much about Miami,” said Alex in one of his interviews.
Yanes’ works are colorful, vibrant, and most importantly, original and handcrafted. You won’t be able to find anything similar out there. His recent works found their place in art collections all over the world, but are also being used as decorative items for fans of pop art style interior. He also worked with numerous high-profile brands like Adidas, Red Bull, Sony, Vans, Kidrobot, Coca-Cola, and more.
