Instagrammer Shares Funny T-Shirts Seen In China

Alex Greenberg is an expat living in Shanghai, China, who loves to capture the oddities he faces on a daily basis and post them on his Instagram page called Shanghai Observed. Greenberg moved to Shanghai four years ago and immediately fell in love with the city and the locals.

He started his project back in 2016, when he got a new iPhone. His main goal was to explore the city and capture all the interesting things he saw along the way. He posts random photos, but his top priority is capturing pictures of people who are wearing t-shirts with funny writings on them. He often talks with his “models”, and in his experience, most of them have no idea what is written on their shirts, as they don’t speak English very well.

With China being the world’s most populous country with a population of over 1.4 billion, there is a barrier between English and Chinese, which often leads to some misunderstandings, which guys like Greenberg find funny and want to share with the world.
