She decided to use the power of social media to share her talent with the world, and her food paintings quickly became a viral sensation, bringing 190,000 followers and millions of views to her page.
Stankevych specializes in impasto paintings of food on newspapers, and she wants her body of work to spread positivity and joy.
“I work primarily in oil paint, sometimes to find the brightest of colors in life, but at other times to express shapes in the gloom and the dark… I try to create an image that will evoke only positive emotions,” she writes on her Etsy page.
