Staalsen is an artist and interior decorator who fell in love with the things she’s doing now while she was still a kid. Her mother was also an interior designer, and she let Kaarin and her siblings paint canvases and hang them all around the house, constantly encouraging them to explore their creative side.
“I just have always loved bright and happy things. I would say I’ve always been artistic. I love to paint and draw and that side of me kind of spilled out into my apartment as soon as I got my own place,” she wrote on Instagram.
