Leandro Erlich Created a “Traffic Jam” of Sand Cars on Miami Beach

Renowned Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich recently presented an intriguing art installation, titled “Order of Importance,” with had a goal to spark conversation about climate change. The installation, which was commissioned by the city of Miami, saw Erlich creating “traffic jam” of sand cars on Miami Beach.

Erlich made 66 various models of cars including trucks, which will be on display at Lincoln Road beach until December 15th. After that, the installation will be left to blend with the rest of the beach.

“The climate crisis has become an objective problem that requires immediate solutions,” said Erlich. “As an artist, I am in a constant struggle to make people aware of this reality, in particular, the idea that we cannot shrink away from our responsibilities to protect the planet.”
