Man Builds a Miniature Great Pyramid of Giza

John Heinz of I Build It is a woodworker from Canada who created a wooden replica of the Great Pyramid of Giza in order to understand how it was built in the first place.

Using small pieces of wood, he tried to mimic the engineering behind this impressive monument. He pretended the bricks were made of stone and tried different transport techniques that seem plausible.

“What follows is the building method that I think was used to construct these massive stone structures,” John says. “Of course, no one can say for certain exactly how it was done since there aren’t any verified writings from that time that describe the actual construction process.”
