Nail art was once just a therapeutic hobby for Marnie Boswall, but she managed to transform it into a full-time job. She’s the mastermind behind the Instagram page The Naillologist, and she’s using her platform to help other nail art lovers find the most amazing inspiration in one place.
Boswall’s love affair with nail art started in 2020 when she bought her first gel kit and started doing her own nails out of boredom. After almost two years of trial and error, she found herself so drawn to nail art that she was creating several manicures a week, and she was finally confident enough to share them with the world.
“I’ve always loved art as well as doing makeup and having my nails done. So, I combined them and became completely obsessed and taught myself how to use builder gel and to do nail art. I created this account as a way to share my nails because I was changing them so frequently that it felt like a waste,” she wrote in one of her Instagram stories.
Boswall attracted over 270,000 followers to her Instagram page, and what separates her from most other nail artists is the fact she’s not doing other people’s nails. She’s a content creator first, and her nail art looks are meant to serve as inspiration for other people who are out of ideas for their next manicure.
