Dragons have been fascinating people for centuries, and if you’ve ever wished they were real – you’re not alone. Alexey Kashpersky has been fascinated with these mythical creatures for as long as he can remember and eventually adopted a pet that looks just like a dragon – an iguana named Tamerlan.
Kashpersky spent his childhood years devouring books about dragons and dinosaurs, and his hopeless fascination with these creatures never faded away.
“There was something magical, enchanting, inspiring primal awe in these mythical animals… For me, since then, nothing has changed. Magic and fairy tales still exist in my life, the only difference is that […] I can create a fairy tale by myself from time to time,” he writes on his website.
His dream of owning a dragon finally came true when Tamerlan walked into his life. He’s an albino super crimson iguana born in 2018, and his owner claims he’s one of the rarest artificially created iguana morphs.
Kashpersky decided to share his adventures with Tamerlan on his Instagram page Dragon and Me, which attracted over 380,000 followers. Since Kashpersky happens to be a talented digital artist, he decided to include Tamerlan in many of his projects and even started working on a short film after creating a 3D model of his pet looking like a real dragon.
