Photographer Captures Plants in Different Shades With Ultraviolet Light

Lighting is crucial when it comes to photography. It is important because it makes or mars the result. This Russian photographer proves that lighting really matters. Slava Semeniuta captures plants in a new light using ultraviolet light. He is known online as the Local Preacher and he creates electrifying shades of yellow, pink and green with ultraviolet light.

Recently, he has worked on similar pieces. Some of the recent ones included macro photography in his Granular Creatures series. He was able to capture particles and flecks that cannot be seen by the naked eyes. The figures are opalescent, but have an otherworldly glow. They produce a dazzling light from their luminescent stamens and shiny petals.
