Respawn Comic Has an Unexpected Twist at the End

Harold and Devakumar are the two members of an illustrator-writer duo and the creators of the Respawn comic, which they describe as a “dumb comics for smart people.” Their motto is “making sense of life, love, and videogames, one strip at a time.”

According to Harold, who is also a video game artist, he needs approximately five to ten hours to finish each comic. “The secret is to draw faster,” he revealed in an interview for Bored Panda.

He also shared that he always wanted to be a Royal Food Taster, but later when he got introduced to the art world, he got hooked. “It took me a while, but I’ve since learned to cope by doing strips that, at the very least, make me laugh. If no one else got it, well, it wasn’t all that bad. But it’s a big ol’ world and it turns out there were a bunch of weirdos laughing with me all along,” Harold explained.
