]]>How did she start creating Dinsey-inspired makeup? Rosa told Bored Panda, “I love Disney and drawings in general! I use the colors of the characters and their characteristics. For example, the villains I always try to make the make-up darker.”
Rosa goes beyond copying the outward appearances of the Disney Princesses, she designs based on the character’s personality and their best features. “For a character like Ursula (The Little Mermaid), I focus on dark colors and marked shapes. I think the right color is the most important and also the hardest. I haven’t done the Cinderella makeup yet because I haven’t found the right blue yet,” she told Bored Panda.
Check out some of her creations below. Did your favorite Disney movie make the cut?

]]>A good example of this is Disney Princesses.
Although the common trope is that they are damsels in distress, there are plenty of Disney princesses who did their fair share of saving. Take for example Mulan, who helped save China from the Huns. Then there’s Pocahontas.
In more recent times, we’ve seen Disney princesses such as Vanellope and Elsa take on the role of protectors instead of being protected.
Outside of Disney, there’ve been many instances of women being empowered in other animated media. The X-men, for example, has long had plenty of powerful female characters, such as Storm and Psylocke.
So, it only makes sense to make a mash-up of both franchises, right?
Apparently, that seems to be the case for Marcus Williams, which is why the Atlanta-based illustrator decided to create images depicting Disney princesses with what could be their counterparts (or somewhat) in the X-men franchise.
It’s not all femme fatale, mind you, but the representation is all the same.
Be sure to scroll down below to see more of Marcus’ works.

]]>What kind of animation style Marvel will use in their new series is still up in the air, but, with its confirmation, fans have already been creating their own takes on the different scenarios.
Case in point, @christ_ave41.
In his take on the “What If…?” series, christ_ave41 chose to create an alternate reality complete in live-action.
Who did he feature? None other than Steve Rogers himself, otherwise known as Captain America. But, in his take, Steve Rogers is not Captain America. Instead, we can see him donning the Iron Man suit.
Now, Steve Rogers donning the Iron Man suit, albeit in his pre-serum self, has already been confirmed. So has been Peggy Carter playing as Captain America in the same alternate reality.
That means that you’re free to feel hyped as to exactly what the future holds for the MCU.
For now though, we’ll just have to settle for fan art like this.

]]>Classics, after all, deserve to be what they are — classics. Untouched by modern technology.
As it turns out though, Disney was just bidding their time. With the release of the remake of The Lion King, they went on to prove that there is a place for modernized and realistic versions of the classic characters that most of us grew up watching.
Now, while The Lion King was certainly not the first remake that Disney ever released, it was easily one of the most impactful.
The Lion King is widely considered one of the best animated films of all time. Disney took a huge gamble in trying to create a modernized and realistic version of it.
Thankfully, they succeeded. Now, perhaps more than ever, fans are asking for more.
With modern remakes of Dumbo and Aladdin having already been released, as well as The Little Mermaid, Maleficent and Lady and the Tramp slated to release sooner rather than later, it’s safe to say that fans are going to get exactly what they want.
For Chilean illustrator Fernanda Suarez, that gives her all the more reason to recreate some of Disney’s most iconic characters in her own photorealistic vision.

They don’t see it as a critique, they just want to laugh about the movies we all know and love.”
Esparza shares his illustrations on his Instagram account where he is known as Sanesparza. He has attracted over 295 thousand followers and has tens of thousands likes on each post.

Yes, you heard that right.
Instead of transforming Disney characters into real-life people, one artist did the opposite and turned the tables by turning Keanu Reeves into a Disney prince.
Crystal Ro, who is a writer and illustrator based in Los Angeles, was the brains behind it all.
Below, you’ll see her works, which help build a pretty strong case on why Keanu Reeves has a future as a Disney prince, should Disney ever be looking for someone to cast.

]]>Australia-based amateur baker and “professional eater” Vickie Liu is known for creating all sorts of adorable fluffy donuts and cookies that look so real and cute that you’re not sure whether to eat them or frame them. With a background in architecture and interior design, she wanted to try something different, that would make other people happy.
Liu’s baking was primarily inspired by Toroto, Pusheen, and Rilakkumma, but after a while, her creations feature the faces of adorable animals and well-known movie and Disney characters. Others are simply made up of vibrant colors that jump right off the images, allowing us to feel like kids again.
But Liu doesn’t stop here. After she was nominated in 2017 for the title of ‘Instagrammer of the year’, she created a YouTube channel to show her beautiful creations to the world.

Not content with just photoshopping Disney princesses and villains into real-life situations, Andhika Muksin decided to do things the other way around.
By bringing reality into their lives, Muksin stripped away all of the glitz and glamour of the animated Disney princesses that we all have come to love growing up. The result? A hilariously realistic reimagining of what our Disney princesses would look like if their animators took reality into account.
It’s safe to say, you’ve never seen Disney princesses like this before.
