This Artist Finds Beauty In Trash

Martha Haversham is a UK interdisciplinary artist who, as her Instagram bio says, works with “fashion atelier of haute couture street trash and natural objects.”

“Originally working on an iPhone, my found fashion can be picked-up on a lunch break and made back in the office. As an artist, I am interested in how this practical necessity feeds into the perception of what constitutes interdisciplinary practice and female art;  if the price of my artwork rises to reflect my status as a contemporary artist, it will be in direct contrast to the diminishing value of the invisible secretary who made them.”

From candy wrappers to dried plants, this artist can turn any trash into beautiful miniatures and the results are always incredible. No wonder her 27.5k followers are amazed by her artworks.
