This Wonderful Dog Manages a Sweet Potato Stall In Japan

Ken-kun is a 3-year-old dog who works as a “storekeeper” in a sweet potato stall, located in Sapporo City on the island of Hokkaido.

The Shiba Inu has taken Twitter by storm in Japan after he was filmed adorably serving one of his customers at his potato store. It’s not often you’ll find a dog manning a food stall and warmly greeting the customers. Buyers just have to simply choose the roasted sweet potato from the white box and leave US$1 as payment.

Ken-kun pops up his cute little face and say hello every time someone approaches his mini store. We all know about honesty being the best policy and that’s what the food stall is implying. The dog will not chase you if you don’t pay up, it’s basically a trust-based system.

The food stall is covered with artistic signage, with one sign saying, “Because I am a dog, I can’t give you change.” But tips are appreciated especially for Ken-kun. He will surely be given extra treats for his job well done.
